Is the much awaiting BlackBerry OS 4.6 now available? It seems so
It has been rumoured that the introduction of Research In Motion’s BlackBerry Bold 9000 and BlackBerry Thunder 9500 mobile phones would bring in the much awaited BlackBerry OS 4.6, and well it seems they are because over at Horizon Wireless Online there’s a new listing giving details of the upcoming operating system.
The new BlackBerry OS 4.6 id apparently to feature richer Blackberry browser rendering, which entails JavaScript 1.5, CSS 2.1, AJAX, HTML 4.01, Integrated Go To, Search, Bookmarks, and History Launch Screen, and many more, click zooming with the trackball, scrolling down with trackball, Music Sync, Clock application, Setup Wizard 2.0, option to select Home Screen grid size, support for continuous spell checking, support for greyscale and reverse contrast display, and numerous enhancements to existing BlackBerry smartphone applications and features.
With all this BlackBerry technology goodness crammed within the BlackBerry OS 4.6, one wonders why Research In Motion doesn’t bring all this to every BlackBerry mobile phone, especially that “richer browsing experience” maybe put on the BlackBerry Curve or BlackBerry Pearl.
Whatever, I am sure the BlackBerry Bold 9000 and BlackBerry Thunder 9500 mobile phone owners will all be jumping for joy at this new release to boost up their Blackberry experience. Oh and the carriers that will release the BlackBerry 9000 are AT&T, Rogers, Vodafone, and Docomo.
