The phone is available for free on pay monthly deals with Orange, as well as T-Mobile. Major retailer Carphone Warehouse is also selling the GLEAM for 49.95 GBP (about $82). lthough the GLEAM strongly resembles the popular Motorola RAZR, Motorola's statement says that a “great design never goes out of fashion.”

Touted as the next generation Motorola RAZR, the phone targets fashionistas and those who wish to stand out from the crowd.

“The MOTOROLA GLEAM is a stylish and fun phone that also offers consumers a number of key entertainment features,” said Andrew Morley, vice president of marketing for Motorola Mobility, international markets.

“It’s also a little quirky with its lighting design letting you stand out from the crowd and make a statement.”

Though it is indeed quite a looker, the GLEAM is an entry-level phone that offers users only the basic features.

The dual-band (GSM 900/1800) phone measures 106 x 53 x 13.9 mm and weighs 105g, which makes it perfectly pocketsizable.

It packs 32MB Flash, 16MB RAM (5MB user available), as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 16GB).

The clamshell comes with a small 2.4-inches TFT main display with 262K colors support and 240 x 320 pixels resolution, as well as secondary external display with icons.

When it comes to connectivity, the GLEAM doesn't stand out, as it only offers GPRS class 10 and, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and EDR, and microUSB 2.0.

In addition, users can take advantage of the Stereo FM radio function and 2-megapixel main camera embedded.

When security and toughness is paramount, call the Navy Seals. When you need a phone with similar attributes, Sprint and Motorola hopes you look towards the just-announced Android XPRT and Titanium. The XPRT is Sprint’s first Android phone with enterprise-class security, which comes by way 256-bit AES data encryption and enterprise-controlled security schemes and functions including remote wipe, password recovery and enabling various locks. A 3.1-inch HVGA screen rests above a full QWERTY keypad with a 1GHz processor running A Motoblur’d Android 2.2. The XPRT is hitting all of Sprint’s retail channels June 5 for $129.

The Titanium keeps Direct Connect alive with a full Qwerty keypad, 3.1-inch touchscreen and Android 2.1. The iDEN device of course meets military specs for dust, shock vibration, solar radiation — pretty much anything Hal Jordan could manifest. The Titanium is the successor to the Motorola i1 launched last year and will probably make some push-to-talk loyests happy to finally join the cool kids with their own Android 2.x phone. Pricing and availability wasn’t announced.

We will soon have one reason to stay or switch back to AT&T. Verizon may be getting the iPhone on Feb. 10, but AT&T is starting pre-orders for what is probably the best Android phone on Feb. 13: the Motorola Atrix 4G. The new phone is the first of a new generation of dual-core devices that debuted at CES this year. It will be available for $199 with a two-year contract, AT&T announced today. It will be released on March 6.The Atrix is full of impressive specs. The phone runs on a 1GHz dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, has a 4.0-inch full qHD display (bright, 960×540), 1GB of RAM, HSPA+ 4G support, 5MP rear camera, and 1080p video recording. In addition, the phone’s power button doubles as a biometric fingerprint reader, adding a fun layer of security, should users desire. It currently runs on Android 2.2.

The real unique quality of the Atrix, however, comes with its accessories. The phone can also be bundled with the Motorola Laptop Dock, which turns it into a full-fledged netbook, complete with Firefox and other applications. The bundle will run $499 after a $100 rebate and added tethering plan.

AT&T has announced that the Motorola Atrix 4G smartphone will be available for preorder Feb. 13.To get the Atrix 4G, for its $200 subsidized price, the buyer must agree to a minimum data plan starting at $15 a month and a two-year voice plan, AT&T stated. There's an early termination fee of up to $325.
A bundle consisting of the Atrix and the Motorola Laptop Dock, together with a two-year DataConnect agreement, will cost $499.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate card.
In addition, customers who get this bundle will have to subscribe to AT&T's tethering plan, which costs an additional $20 per month for 2GB of data.
AT&T is also offering an Entertainment Access kit for Atrix customers. This includes the Motorola HD Multimedia Dock, a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse and a remote control, and is priced at $189.99.
Customers with AT&T U-verse TV plans, which cost up to $99 a month, will be able to manage their DVR recordings and download and watch TV shows from the Atrix 4G with a U-verse Mobile application.
Atrix 4G owners can get live TV with the U-Verse Live TV application regardless of whether they have U-verse TV for $9.99 a month.
The complexity of AT&T's fee structure may cause a customer backlash.

Motorola Evoke QA4 was first seen more than one month ago, but there was no official announcement to back up the leaked photos and details.

Today, Motorola has fully unveiled the handset and presented it as a “socially-inclined device”.

As you may already know, Evoke QA4 comes with a 2.8 inch, 240 x 400 pixels touchscreen display, as well as with an alphanumeric keypad.

The handset also features an accelerometer, so when you turn it on its side you can easily make use of the on-screen QWERTY keyboard.

AT&T and Motorola unveiled Motorola Tundra VA76r, a rugged 3G clamshell device with a tough exterior that can withstand harsh environments. Motorola Tundra VA76r will be available for $199.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate with a two-year contract in AT&T stores on January 13.

While Tundra is a great mobile phone for rugged environments, using PTT, and finding your way with AT&T Navigator, it can also let you do e-mailing and Web browsing for information, news and video with 3G connectivity. The phone also offers access to AT&T music and a 2 megapixel camera to snap and share still images. Tundra also has 100 MB of available memory, up to 4GB of optional removable memory, and it can be paired with a host of compatible Bluetooth enabled accessories.
Besides the rugged feature, TeleNav Track and Xora Mobile Workforce Management tools are supported to help users find their way and their teams. TeleNav Track features include GPS-enabled tracking, turn-by-turn navigation, individual and team timecards, job dispatching, customizable wireless forms, bar code scanning, image capture and signature capture. With Xora, companies can track the location and activities of their workers in real-time, as well as use the Tundra as a tamper-proof time clock - thereby automating the payroll process.

The Motorola Tundra has a multi-tasking operating system, allowing more than one application to run at a time. I’m quite sure that everyone expects a cell phones manufacturer to design all sorts of innovative devices and Motorola is the perfect example when it comes to ingenious ideas and products. The company has just announced the release of a brand new cell phone, called Motorola Prizm or MOTOPRIZM.

The phone is the result of a successful collaboration between Korea and the United States. But if you would rather have a Motorola Krave ZN4, equipped with its 840 x 480 pixels display and a 3 megapixel camera, you will be happy to know that the Prizm is the South Korean version of the ZN4. The improved version, as a matter of fact.

The touchscreen clamshell Motorola phone is equipped with the following features: 2.8 inch 260K color TFT touchscreen display with a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels, a 3 megapixel camera, DMB support, e-wallet function, 3.5 millimeters headphone jack, Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, USB 2.0 connectivity, internal memory that can be expanded with a memory card. Not another rainy day! I woke up in the morning and, casting a short glance at the world outside my smoky window, I realized that this is, again, one of those days when you’d rather spend your whole 24 hours inside your house than confronting the bad weather. But I'm not the only one who hates these cold rainy days. My phone doesn’t like it either. He’s so sensitive to the cold and the rain, that I’d better keep its bright and shiny silhouette between your four walls.

Motorola Adventure V750, the latest rugged cell phone that Verizon is offering to the wide public, is far from being so sensitive. The clamshell phone made its appearance a couple of months ago on the company’s line-up, but it’s now when the device is available on Telus, an important Canadian mobile network.

The V750 comes equipped with US military specifications 810F, which converts it in a shock resistant mobile phone, whatever the shock might be. Moreover, the device can withstand not only shocks, but also dust, vibration or solar radiation.

As for the technical features, they include: EVDO Rev A, a 2.2-inch 65K colors internal screen with a resolution of 240x320 pixels, a 1.6-inch TFT external display with a resolution of 120x160 pixels, the military specs 810F for shocks, vibration, sun, heat, cold, altitude, dust, a 2.0 megapixel camera that comes with video capabilities, Bluetooth, 2.5 millimeters headset jack, speakerphone, music player and a microSD card support for expanding the memory up to 8GB.

After releasing its ZN5 handset in Europe back in September, Motorola decided to make it available for North-Americans as well. The bar phone will be available exclusively for T-Mobile USA customers. MOTOZINE ZN5 is the high-end result of a joint-venture between the US-based company and Kodak, the well-known producer of digital imaging and printing products, such as cameras, digital frames, but also printers and photo software.

MOTOZINE ZN5 combines Motorola’s ModeShift technology, which relies on tactile responses to simulate key clicks, something very similar to Haptic feedback, and KODAK Imaging Technology. ZN5 has one of the fastest 5 Megapixel cameras on the market, as Motorola stated, and can be accessed quickly by simply sliding the lens cover.

The camera features the standard specs and functions of a high-end camera phone, like auto-focus for sharp, vivid pictures, Xenon flash, optimized settings for low light environments and red-eye reduction. Weighing only 114 grams (including battery), and measuring 118x50.5x12mm (16mm at camera lens), Motorola’s not-so-beefy phone fits perfectly in any pocket. Users don't need to worry about running low on space storage as the device comes with an 1 GB memory card, besides the 350 MB internal memory. Further improvements can be brought about with a better microSD card of up to 4GB.

Motorola has come up with an Ultra Mobile Personal Computercodenamed VC6096 that has a wide range of features, starting with the many connectivity options, and ending with the good extras.

The device has transportation services as the main target, and comes with a fixed mount so it stays steady on a vehicle. In terms of connectivity the VC6096 boasts WiFi (802.11a/b/g), 3.5 GSM, HSDPA, WWAN, and bluetooth. Lastly, there is a GPS receiver - SiRF Star III - so the location of the vehicles is always known 24/7.

Verizon Wireless has announced the Motorola VU204, a new clamshell cell phone that is slated for October 14th availability. The VU204 packs a VGA-resolution camera and up to 64MB of internal storage for photos. The rounded edges of this cell phone should make it easy to slip into your pocket when it's time to hit the road.

The Motorola VU204 features built-in A-GPS support for Verizon's VZ Navigator service, as well as Bluetooth support for convenient wireless handsfree headsets. The VU204 should offer you over 2 weeks of standby time thanks to its large battery, as well.

WildCharge Inc., a North American company headquartered in Boulder, Colorado, has announced the upcoming availability of a new WildCharge range of skins for RIM's BlackBerry smartphones.

As their producer says, the WildCharge skins are protective gel cases that feature an advanced wire-free power technology. Consequently, not only do the skins protect a device from unwanted scratches and impacts, but they can also charger the handsets they house. This can be done when a device is placed, while in a WildCharge skin, on a specially built WildCharger charging pad.

"WildCharge’s technology is more than a simple charging solution for mobile devices – it’s a revolution that will ultimately eliminate the array of tangled chargers, AC adapters and cords consumers regularly deal with,” CEO Dennis Grant said, while demonstrating a simultaneous charging of BlackBerry Curve and Pearl smartphones on the WildCharger pad. “In the near future, we expect our technology to offer true economical and environmental benefits by reducing the number of AC adapters in the household – ultimately reducing the standby electricity leakage from plugged-in but unused AC adapters.”

Although WildCharge said its new skins would be compatible with BlackBerry Curve and BlackBerry Pearl models, it's hard to believe they are suitable for the most recently announced member of the Pearl family, namely the Pearl Flip 8220. That is because, as its name clearly indicates, the 8220 is a flip phone, hence it's totally different from the rest of the Pearls, which are all candybars.

The new BlackBerry Bold is also unlikely to be compatible with the new skins. Then again, since the Bold is not yet available across the States, this shouldn't be seen as a problem.

The WildCharge BlackBerry skins will become available across the US starting October 6 (next week), for prices that are currently not known. The skins will be initially available only via WildCharge's official website, but later this year, other distributors should also start offering them.

Motorola’s Good Mobile Messaging Secure Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (Good S/MIME) has passed the rigors of the Army’s Authority to Operate (ATO) certification process. Designed specifically for the federal government, Good S/MIME provides secure messaging for mobile devices with common access card (CAC) authentication, email and attachment encryption and signing, and over-the-air synchronization of all certificates.

“Motorola’s Good Technology Group has built a secure, two-factor smartcard authentication email solution that integrates with the Windows Mobile platform and offers our joint customers additional choice,” said Randy Siegel, senior mobility strategist, Microsoft Federal. “Good Mobile Messaging is not only intuitive and easy-to-use for administrators and device users, it also routes all message traffic through Good’s Network Operations Centers located within the borders of the Continental United States. Keeping information secure is critical for our Federal and U.S. Public Sector customers.”

Security requirements such as the Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD 12), a standard for secure and reliable forms of identification, and the Department of Defense Directive (DoD 8100.2), which mandates the use of a common access card (CAC) reader for enhanced authentication, were created to satisfy the highest security requirements of the U.S. Government and the U.S. Department of Defense.

In order to become certified, Motorola had to complete a rigorous third-party testing process through the U.S. Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) to evaluate Good S/MIME as a viable mobile messaging platform for the Army’s use. Part of the process included a Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) checklist developed by DISA that provides specific guidance on setting up Good Mobile Messaging S/MIME with common access card readers securely on the U.S. Army’s networks. Additional testing was conducted by U.S. Army Advanced Technologies and the Army Research Laboratory.

The Good Mobile Messaging S/MIME Edition offers the following features:

Good Mobile Messaging S/MIME Edition is available now through certified value-added resellers and directly through Motorola Good Technology Group.

Motorola announced the sporty MOTOACTV W450 is available exclusively from T-Mobile USA. The durable clamshell design features a rubberized external coating that makes the device easy to grip, while a chin bar at the base of the phone lets users clip it to a belt or pack. MOTOACTV W450 also features two color schemes, alpine white and black slate, with either canary yellow or mandarin accents.
T-Mobile customers can capture images and video on the W450’s 1.3 megapixel camera. The W450 supports an optional microSD memory card up to 2 GB, not the best but enough for most of the users. Shortcut buttons to music as well as pictures and messages are available. Users also can customize their phone through the dedicated t-zones key, which provides instant access to ringtones, pictures and wallpaper. MOTOACTV W450 is available today at select T-Mobile retail stores.

Motorola is out with a new candy bar handset. Although there doesn’t seem to be any official launch for it yet, the Motorola VE538 is quite evident on their website.

The handset features a 2 megapixel camera with a Shozu client pre-installed for blogging or uploading images. Since it’s a 3G enabled handset with support for GPRS/EDGE, connectivity will be no problem for the Motorola VE538.

Other features include a media player that reads AMR, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, MP3 ,WMA, WAV, XMF, SP-MIDI and MIDI file formats, a video player that is compatible with MPEG-4, H.263, H.264, Windows Media, 3GP playback MPEG-4n and H.263 recording (.3gp file format). The handset comes with just 10MB of internal memory that's expandable with microSD cards up to 4GB.

Since there hasn’t been an official launch the pricing hasn’t been revealed yet.

Motorola Q9h had a makeover and the new Motorola Q9h Silver had sprouted. Many concluded that the Silver version is nothing but a makeover with no extra features that would make it stand out compared to the Motorola Q9h. Now, many were proven wrong. The new Q9h Silver did not just get a new paintjob but it has something that would make your life a little bit easier. Okay, that's a bit of an exaggeration but with this new feature, updating your phone's firmware would be a lot easier than how it used to be.

This is a special request by AT&T and Motorola thought of a way to provide just that. The Firmware Over the Air or FOTA updates is the most important feature you'll find in the new Q9h Silver. Its name says it all actually, your Motorola Q9hS phone will get an over the air update of its firmware as administered by AT&T. Bug fixes and other updates will be placed on the AT&T's FOTA server and your phone will alert you of a new update and just by pressing on the accept button, your phone will be updated and it will reset. It's that easy and your firmware would always be up to date!
