Samsung E840 Slimmest Slider
The Samsung E840 is the world’s slimmest slider mobile phone measuring just 10.6 mm thick, and it was released last year with support for GSM 850/900/1800/1900 frequencies, MP3 player, 1000 phone book entries, 70 MB internal memory shared with the applications and expandable via a microSD card slot, EDGE connectivity, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, USB 2.0, email, Internet browser, games, and a Li-Ion 690 mAh battery providing up to 4 hours and 30 minutes of talk time or 360 hours of standby.
The handset measures 101.5 x 52.5 x 10.6 mm at 99 grams and sports a 2.2-inch large TFT LCD display of 256K colors and with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels, integrating a 2MP digital camera for pictures and video recording on the go. It captures still images at a resolution of up to 1600 x 1200 pixels.
Other features of the Samsung E840 include Java, FM radio, TV-out, document viewer for Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF, as well as Organizer, to do list, stopwatch, and voice memo.
Users can organize their files for increased productivity on the go and even print their work wirelessly via the Bluetooth Printing capability with a compatible printer model. Wired printing can be done with the PictBridge suing the USB connectivity.
The Premium Black graphic user interface is intuitively designed with cool colors and the uMenu, which helps in keeping track of the user’s favorite functions.
The handset model also features multi-tasking via PIM and it can be connected to different electronic gadgets either using the Bluetooth wireless capability or the TV-out for enjoying cool videos recorded on the phone, directly on a large TV display.
