Samsung i900 Omnia launched in India
Indians will now have one more option if they are looking for good touchscreen device as Samsung has just announced the availability of Samsung Omnia i900 on the subcontinent.
Sunil Dutt, Country Head for Samsung Telecom, stated, “Samsung Omnia is our flagship model aimed at users who desire a lot of functionality, a lot of style, a lot of usability, and a lot of entertainment in one innovative device. Samsung Omnia will help users to be at the forefront of work and play and at the same time, to stay connected anytime, anywhere.”
Right you are Mr. Dutt as the Omnia is one of the topmost devices available in the market now that leaves nothing to imagination with a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, 16 GB of internal memory, GPS with geotagging, DivX/Xvid support, accelerometer, optical mouse control, and a 5-megapixel camera all in sync with Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system.
The Samsung Omnia is priced at Rs. 39,999 ($869) and 37,999 ($825) for 16GB and 8GB models respectively, which sounds a bit steep but there will of course be some tech-savvy Indians with big enough wallets to adopt the device.
