Samsung SCH-i770 smartphone cruises through the FCC
The Samsung SCH-i770 has appeared on the FCC, with mentions of Verizon Wireless in the draft of the user manual. The SCH-i770 is powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and features both dual-band CDMA (800/1900MHz) support and at least dual-band GSM (850/1900MHz) support, though it is rumored to support the 900 and 1800MHz GSM bands as well, which would allow it to roam globally.
The SCH-i770 also features WiFi and EV-DO support, for speedy data transfers, and Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP stereo is also on board. This candybar smartphone features a touchscreen display with a full QWERTY keyboard beneath it. A microSD card slot will offer extra storage capacity, and there is also a camera on board, though the FCC documents do not specify its resolution.
