Samsung Memoir to Replace the Behold or the Pixon
It clearly seems that all we get these days in terms of new mobiles are blurry pictures and this is the case here as well. Even though there are many saying that a new Samsung is coming to the U.S., in the end, after reading the so-called “explanations” available, the general impression one gets is that nobody has a clue about it.
In any case, this seems to be a rumor worth paying attention to, especially since it’s probably going to get plenty of people all hyped. All that we can notice in these blurry pictures is a new Samsung-designed phone that is said to be the American version of either the Pixon, or the Behold. Actually, the only confirmed piece of information, if it may be called that, is that the device will be branded Memoir, as everyone seemingly agrees on the dubbing.
However, instead of guessing on what other bits of information are available, we might as well finish with the rumors. For instance, the device is supposed to pack an 8 Megapixel camera, which is the most appealing feature no matter how you look at it, given the information available, of course. Next, the Memoir is said to include a widescreen TouchWiz interface, exactly the same as the one we've seen on the Behold.
Basically, that's it for the specs, but you can still rejoice at a confirmation of sorts for the fact that this device will be coming to America, mostly because there seems to be a T-Mobile logo on the front and a myFaves logo on the back panel.
The next issue to consider now is whether the device will be confirmed by T-Mobile and whether it is actually going to the American company, no matter what the rumors are saying about this. We should also keep in mind that, although this is a long shot, the Memoir is supposed to come out in the first part of 2009. It is supposed to be one of the top TouchWiz gadgets, although it may not be so well designed in what regards other aspects.
In any case, since it's probably going to be the first 8 Megapixel phone going to America, it might also be expensive, especially given the fact that it probably won't pack any Wi-Fi capabilities.
