Nokia N9 Won't Be Released in UK Either
Following yesterday's confirmation from Nokia that the N9 smartphone won't be released in the United States, the Finnish company made another statement, this time regarding the handset's launch in UK.
Although the phone has been spotted recently at Expansys UK and is now available for pre-order, it looks like Nokia does not have any plans to launch the N9 in the UK either.
In a recent statement for paidContent,
Nokia says that it is aware of the positive reception that the smartphone received, but reaffirms that it has no plans to introduce the phone in UK.
Furthermore, the company states that its decision is based on the existing and upcoming products portfolio, which might weight heavily on the N9's or any of the future launched sales.
In other words, UK customers won't be able to purchase the N9, because Nokia plans to flood the market with Windows Phone 7 smartphones, which might not receive the same level of attention as the N9.
