BenQ launches S6 with TIM
I don’t mean that BenQ used a person called Tim to launch the S6 (though they may have had someone of that name working on the launch), no, no, no - BenQ have launched the Mobile Internet Device called the S6 with Italian Operator TIM!There is an Intel Atom processor inside, along with 4.8″ screen, and 370g of weight to account for. 3.5G and WLAN radios are onboard for InterWeb access, and Bluetooth even makes an appearance!
Apparently the cost will be 429 EUR, which isn’t too harsh, although it is going to have to compete with the increasingly popular netbooks at that price point.

BenQ Introduces C36 Music Phone
BenQ today announces the launch of the BenQ C36 music phone, successor to the BenQ C30, with enhanced multimedia functionalities, upgraded 1.3-megapixel camera and a spacious 2" LCD display perfect for viewing photos and videos. The origianl top key design brings direct access to FM radio, MP3 player and camera functions in a faster and easier way.
Weighing 78g, the BenQ C36's 2" LCD display is perfect for viewing photos and videos. The upgraded 1.3-megapixel camera supports AVI video recording and playback, and can also do double-duty as a webcam when connected to a PC. The C36's powerful multimedia functions includes a built-in FM radio with recording and schedule recording functions and a MP3 player supports MP3, WAV, MIDI and AMR formats.
The C36 also adds an e-book reader and a photo editor for touching up photos. It also comes equipped with dual speaker for sharing music with friends and a MicroSD card slot and USB connectivity to store and transfer all the music, photos and videos.
The BenQ C36 will be firstly available in Indonesia in May with other countries to follow in the coming months.

BenQ T80 NFC-Enabled Smartphone
The T80 Smartphone which will be showcased at Mobile Phone Congress 2008 is Near Field Communication-enabled and features access to home security systems as well as electronic ticketing for public transportation and other electronic payment capabilities.
It is the world’s first Windows Mobile 6-based Smartphone NFC-enabled and offers a user experience similar with that of a personal computer, and dual storage options for the NFC data which allows users to store transactions and security information on a microSD card or directly on the SIM.
Its Combi SIM card type developed by Chunghwa Telecom is the first SIM card that offers secure e-wallet services with massive storage for transaction recordings.
On the other hand, BenQ T80 has Flash user interface and a 2.2-inch large display integrating a 3MP camera.
With this model you can time automatic wallpaper changes and as it is Digital Living Network Alliance-compliant you can integrate it into all DLNA home entertainment systems in order to use it as a remote control for your home equipment.
BenQ will soon make public additional information regarding the price and availability of this mobile phone.
