Home Automation Inc. is a company headquartered in New Orleans that produces automation products such as home control systems, smart light switches and touch screen interfaces, and recently has announced the launch of a new product called Snap-Link Mobile.

It has the functions of a Smartphone but with extra capabilities such as remote monitoring and controlling of lights in your home, security, audio, temperatures, and phones’ web cams.

The high-end product will be presented at CES 2008 in Las Vegas in just a few days, more exactly between January 7 and 10.

Snap-Link Mobile is capable of controlling your webcams on cell phone models including PDAs, Smartphones and the rest of advanced cell phones with Windows Mobile operating system installed.

Designed for mobile devices with touch-sensitive displays and scroll wheels, it shows the HAI logo on your touch screen from where you can access the home control page instantly to control individual lights, dim lights, adjust preset lighting scenes, view real-time videos from the surveillance cameras, even conserve the energy by adjusting the heat, cooling, humidity and outdoor temperatures, set the alarm, and not at last, it lets you control your entire home audio system.

Future owners will get the device without subscription fees and the updates will be delivered for free.

Snap-Link uses encrypted communications via Wi-Fi or cellular data networks.

More than that, to use the control system, all you need to do is to download the software directly into your mobile phone.
