General Mobile’s DSTW1: two SIMs, WinMo style
General Mobile’s Windows Mobile 6 Professional-powered DSTW1 sports a large 2.8″ QVGA touchscreen, capable of 65k colors. The handset also features a dual-SIM slot, with one supporting quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) and the other tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900MHz). This 144g (5oz) heavy hitter measures in at 117mm x 61mm x 18mm (4.6″ x 2.4″ x .7″) and also features Bluetooth 2.0.
The DSTW1’s 2 megapixel camera offers the ability to snap pictures on the go, while the microSD card slot allows for plenty of storage. 256MB of internal memory provides plenty of room for adding applications and the phone’s 64MB of RAM should keep things snappy when moving through the menus.
The General Mobile DSTW1 smartphone should go on sale in select European markets in March. There is no word yet on pricing.
