Motorola ZN200 slider surfaces
While we are all waiting for the high end 5 megapixel Kodak/Motorola ZN5 cameraphone to start the new line of Motorola handsets, Motorola seems to be working on another, far less well specked ZN device .
Called Motorola ZN200, it seems to be a pretty low end dual band GSM (850/1900) slider with small display and 2 megapixel camera.
And, contrary to the leaked pictures and what not, Motorola ZN200 is already confirmed by official sources. Well, not Motorola itself, that announcement is yet to come.
But Federal Communications Commission has approved this Moto ZN200 for distribution in the U.S, and spilled all the juicy details, including the users manual and the live pics to the web.
As I said, there’s nothing really spectacular about Motorola ZN200 handset. It comes equipped with 2 megapixel camera with 8x digital zoom, video recording, features Windows Media Player 11 for your mp3s, FM Radio, 2.5 mm headset jack, Bluetooth and mini USB connector.
And it may give us some clues how Motorola may go about naming the new ZN line phones in the future.
My guess is, the first digit will show the amount of megapixels in the camera - 5 megapixel candybar becomes ZN5, 2 megapixel slider is Moto ZN200.
So the mysterious 5 megapixel slider could actually be Motorola ZN500, and if we ever get ZN phone with 3.2 megapixel camera - that’s probably Motorola ZN320.
