iPhone Security Flaw to be Fixed
One more strike for Apple and its iPhone. There’s a security flaw in both 2.0.1 or 2.0.2 firmware versions which would allow unwanted people to get inside your phone even when you think it’s safely locked.
I am not talking about guessing your password or anything like that. Simply hit the Emergency Call and double click the home button. You will get in the Favorites list and from there the sky is the limit. Send SMS, go to Maps or browse the Internet. And who knows what else you can do. You just cracked your iPhone. Well not like in the picture there, but you get the point.
Yes, Apple knows about this problem and yes they are going to fix it. In September! But apparently they did fix it in firmware 1.1.4. Hmmm… I don’t know how many strikes to add for them.
Anyway in the mean time what you can do until Apple decides to make the fix available is to change your home button function from Favorites to Home. That will hold off those people sniffing around your phone for a while.
