ROKR Portable Speakers
These new cool speakers from Motorola are meant to offer you louder sounds for the music you are listening on your cell phone, anywhere on the go. ROKR EQ7 and ROKR EQ5 are small portable speakers available at Motorola’s online store with Bluetooth enabled, allowing you to listen audio wirelessly together with your compatible mobile handset.
ROKR EQ7 has more advanced features while the ROKR EQ5 comes in a stylish design, both providing enhanced sound quality for music and calls, for any model of MP3 player, cell phone and other portable devices, not necessarily Motorola-branded.
“Music lovers and mobile consumers can now share and enjoy their music with great portability and rich sound quality,” stated Sean Ramsey, General Manager North America, Motorola Companion Products. “These portable speakers give people two unique ways to enjoy music and hands-free speakerphone calls in innovative style.”
Released as an alternative solution to the speakerphone capability, these new models come at a price of $199.95 for the EQ7 and $119.95 for the EQ5, and can be purchased from electronic retailers.
MOTOROKR EQ5 Ultra-Portable Wireless Speaker fits any pocket because of its sleek form factor, and can be connected easily with any computer, multimedia player and cell phones supporting the Bluetooth technology. If you don’t have this functionality enabled, there’s no problem, because the model has optional 3.5 mm audio cable which is the universal wired connectivity. In addition, it features the SRS WOW HD technology for high definition stereo sounds, while the the background noises and echoes are significantly reduced during calls. The radio frequency shielding prevents static interferences.
This speaker provides up to 8 hours of playback from a single charge, which can be performed via the microUSB port while you are still listening to the music.
The other speaker, ROKR EQ7 Wireless Hi-Fi Stereo Speaker System, brings the power of 4 JBL speakers for a more detailed sound with deep bass. The Bluetooth profile used is A2DP to allow wireless connectivity for stereo sounds with all Bluetooth devices. The 3.5 mm port is not missing either, in case you need to connect the cable.
EQ7 also features noise reduction and echo cancellation, as well as a button for mute, and powers from 4 AA batteries to provide up to 6 hours of playback.
