Samsung i8910 - no more Omnia HD
Samsung Omnia HD has always been known as the i8910. But the majority of users prefer to call it Omnia HD, if only because that name sounds better than a serial number.
Now, Samsung Omnia HD officially lost its name and henceforth be known as only the Samsung i8910. Sam producer explains that the desire to avoid confusion between the original Smartphone Omnia, which operates under WinMo, and Omnia HD, which is running Symbian.
Perhaps, in a manner Samsung wants to make WinMo devices Omnia in a separate group, and to give them their own brand.
