Samsung A637, AKA Samsung ‘Milky’
Last week, a new phone, a funny looking Samsung, surfaced on the net. Until now nobody, knew its name or its specs. Today, we can finally give you more information on this little and weird looking handheld.
As seen in the photo, the phone is a candybar type, all white and with big round buttons. It features a pretty small screen with no out of the ordinary graphics, which could be explained by that it doesn't seem to be designed as a high-end, or even as a mid-end phone. No, this device seems to be a low-budget phone that features several, quite great specs.
Let's take a look at what we could find about the Samsung A637, also named Samsung “Milky.” It’s obvious why they came up with that nickname, isn't it ?
So, the phone is a dual-band EDGE and dual band WCDMA (850MHz/1900MHz), and is user-friendly for its menu-driven access to features and options. With this one, users will get a pretty decent 1.3 megapixel camera and camcorder, Bluetooth access with A2DP, videosharing, instant messaging capability and email access.
The applications that this phone provides are alarms, calendar, calculator, record audio, converter, timer, stopwatch, and world time, along with file viewer. It delivers Multimedia Message Service (MMS), which is kind of a standard in all the mobiles today, but it also enables users to entertain themselves either by browsing the internet, or by using the multimedia capabilities of the phone (music player included).
Other features are the photo caller ID and speakerphone capability, which pretty much make this phone a decent one. Another cool thing about it is that it comes with an AT&T 30-day free trial navigator.
These are the functions and features of Samsung Milky. Unfortunately, there is no info available regarding battery life, support for a microSD card, a price tag and release date. With all that, we probably will not have to wait too long for this phone to hit stores.
