AT&T Launches Apps Beta Program
While manufacturers are either working hard on their own version of an on-device ‘App Store’, lets not forget about all of the carriers out there. They’re chomping at the bit to get in the game and make more money as well. To that end, AT&T (NYSE: T) has introduced its own Apps Beta Program. Developers simply submit apps to AT&T, and approval/denial will be issued quick. If approved, the app will appear in the Apps Beta portal, which will be available to AT&T users to try software and give feedback. Apps that receive the best and most positive feedback will be promoted to the final product, er, App Store when everything moves out of Beta.
To sign up for the beta to try and review software, head on over to AT&T. Developers will want to head over to the AT&T Developer Program for more info on how to get involved.
