Dual SIM TV Phone
Made in China, of course, this smartphone is released by Chinavasion, the top Asian wholeseller of professional and customer electronic products. It provides lots of different high-end cool gadgets and some of these we’ve already described on Techpin, such as the Parrot Wireless Doorbell, the Time Cube Desk Watch, the Bluetooth Bracelet, the Racing Rim Camera, and the Wireless Silicone Keyboard.
Among cool gadgets and audio-video devices, Chinavasion provides also cell phones including this new so called Big Screen TV Phone with Dual SIM. The model was developed for people wanting an unlocked cell phone, using 2 SIM cards, and want to benefit from the latest mobile technologies like the live TV capability, which allows you to watch shows on the go right on your handset’s display.
"People use cell phones to free themselves from the constraints of one location, so it's no good if the phone is locked to one provider at the time of purchase," said Rose Li, Chinavasion PR Manager. "This is why unlocked and jailbreak phones are so popular."
It is a multimedia device capable of live TV in the same digital format with no conversion.
"The true test of a multimedia phone is one that will take a file straight off the computer, play it, and then be able to transfer it to another computer without involving any software," added Rose Li. "The big screen TV phone with Dual SIM is such a phone" and in addition "it plays music movies, radio and TV stations.”
It’s called the big screen phone because it has a large screen measuring 2.8 inches in diagonal, enough to watch the shows on the go, and the display has a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels, TFT technology and touchscreen capability for stylus or finger input.
The model works on GSM at 900MHz, 1800MHz and 1900MHz, and features also Bluetooth with A2DP, a built-in camera supporting resolutions of up to 640 x 480 pixels for still pictures and 176x144 for videos, with 3x digital zoom, 5-15 seconds self-timer, effects, white balance, night mode, and continuous shot for 3 to 5 pictures. The video camera capability also has effects, capturing in MPEG4 and AVI formats, with white balance, and night mode.
With the accelerometer sensor you can watch the screen in both portrait and landscape modes, and other features include FM radio, voice recording, PAL/NTSC video support, Extra Organizer, multiple language support, card slot for up to 2GB memory, and a 3800 mAh Li-Ion battery with USB charging or standard charging, providing up to 4 hours of talk time, 4 hours of music playback or 120 hours of standby.
The big screen TV phone with Dual SIM measures 116 x 58 x 18 mm and comes with a 1GB microSD card, at a price of just $147.50.
