Aigo P8888 3G MID to ship on 19th December
It's confirmed the new Aigo P8888 3G MID will be available later this month for shipping through mobilx world wide. US customers will be happy to know that they won't have to pay the VAT tax, while the website shows the product priced at "$861 inc VAT", you should rest assured, if you live in the US you will only have to pay $717.
The Aigo P8888 3G MID, uses as most MIDs today a Intel Menlow Silverthorne or Atom CPU with clock speeds of 800 MHz with a memory of 512 MB DDRII 400MHz. As storage Aigo decided on using a 4 GB SSD (Solid State Disk), as you can see fomr the pictures hidden under the 4.8'' WVGA Touchscreen 262K Colors capable of a 800 x 480 pixel resolution, is a QWERTY keypad.
Connectivity options are WLAN with the WLAN 802.11 b/g (54 Mb/s) standard, one USB 2.0 port and has Bluetooth v2.0. The Aigo P8888 3G MID comes equipped with a 3.0 MP camera and as extras One built-in Mic, 1 x mini USB Client, 1 x 3.5mm Earphone-mic, 1 x GPS RF switching, 1x SIM Card Slot and a Secondary 300K pixel Webcam. Aigo have decided to use a Linux OS for this MID.
